Letterbeeld / 2021 / Gymworld Zoetermeer / Municipality of Zoetermeer. The commissioned artwork consists of 3 floating, 'concrete-look' elements in which the name Gymworld is integrated. The total length of the artwork is 14 meters and the highest point (the letter L) is 230cm. The name is however incorporated in the artwork in such a way that at street level it is not readable, only if you look down at the top of the stairs at the main entrance of the building the name is visible. Letterbeeld functions as a meeting place. The loose elements on which one can sit also form a freerunning training environment. Kluiters was inspired by the four sports that will soon be practiced here, how these sports deal with space and use attributes. The design language, rhythm, proportions, movements and distances.
